Ahnlaashock,

I've never really taken kindly to being called a murderer... I respectfully ask you to find a different venue for these allegations.

All our dealings with the USCG have been if not pleasant, at least respectful.
They have a job to do, and are efficient and imho have not ever done anything I'd consider a violation of the US Constitution.

We daysail in the path of nuclear submarines coming and going from the Bangor submarine base in Hood Canal. When they're on the surface, they are surrounded by USCG escorts. Once or twice, we've been shooed out of the way, and I can understand their requirements for space. The machine gun equipped inflatable which we talked with was very polite, but firm. No problem here.

BTW, the Mexican Navy boarded us a couple of times while we were in their country.
Their boarding manners were equally good.

I already said this is not the correct venue. This is not a political site, and the people here are from all over, not just the US.

Kudos to the Canadian Coast Guard if they had the stones to remain who and what they were intended to be!

Correct, this is not the venue. So why did you bring it up and continue comments?

I never said another word bad about anyone. I am sorry if you took my praise of someone else as a slam on another group.
I get the idea that you just want to fight, and I will not accommodate you on that.
I brought it up because we were discussing such issues. I brought it up because of other comments that completely ignore the reality of today in the US. Some balance and sanity was and is needed.
I brought it up for many reasons, but even answering your question will be seen as further reason to fight.
You have a nice day.

Fortunately, I've never been buzzed when I've encountered the USCG... lucky for me! As far as I'm concerned they are too focused on catching the bad guys to spend much time on us more or less law abiding mariners. I'd rather have a few more polite, respectful and efficient boardings than cruise off Somalia where the USCG boardings are rather scarce... Capt Phil

I don't think so.

Wonder if there are any stats on that?
