Yes, many years ago I sailed on one and it was not fun. There was no "life" to it just like every roomeran I've sailed on. (You just can't have lots of weight out in those ama's.) Once you've had the pleasure of sailing a high or relatively high performance multihull that tracks like it's on rails and points and is responsive like a good surfboard then you're pretty much ruined for anything else. Having said that, if you want a boat for weekend getaways at the dock or cocktail cruises in the harbor then roomerans are fine or perhaps an older cat. A stinkpot would suffice too.
