Owner's version of 435 and 465 have similar if not identical. 465 goes back to 1998 and 435 to 2000.

Through either companionway and up a couple of steps.

Is a privelege a heavy catamaran? Fast?

The 395 for sale, it´s alote of money but it´s not expencive i think.

A privilege 395 is a heavy and slow catamaran , well build and of good quality
Just look at the weight versus the sail area and that will tell you if a cat is slow , medium or a fast cruiser.

No. Diesel as well. There were very few 395s made so you'll have trouble finding one. That electric one has been for sale forever. I don't think it has yet had an owner other than CatCo so has just been used for demo and boat shows.

The older 37 which is very similar to the 395 has same owners cabin but with galley-down.

Loved your web site. The photos during construction are great. Now that you've owned the Privilege for going on 6 years, I'd love to hear your comments about the boat, any problems, and how it sails compared to other cats as you sail it around. It is a beautifully executed boat. I keep reading it is big and over weight, and get a lot of bridge deck slamming from the center section hanging down. If you can direct me to other places on this list that you may have already answered those questions would be fine.

Jeannius has been the busiest boat in TMMs bareboat fleet for most of her life. Over 30 weeks charter every year and this is now her 6th - and final - season. The interior is remarkably good considering the hard use. The woodwork is for the most part like new just a bit of water damage in the heads. The fake hessian-like material that covers everything that isn't wood is still looking as new. The hulls have had their fair share of contact with docks of course so aren't exactly pristine at the moment. Nothing that a bit of love and affection won't take care of.

Slamming... The 435 has more bridgedeck clearance than most and certainly doesn't slam in seas anywhere near as much as say an older Leopard or Voyage design. You don't want to be in that owners cabin fwd when going hard to windward though. Probably won't be slamming but you will become airborne! Stern cabins are much better sea cabins.

Slow... Yes in comparison to something like a Fastcat but not in comparison to your average Lagoon or FP. A Privilege will get you there in reasonable time and a lot of comfort.

Quality... Much better than most. I've crossed the Atlantic and done several 500 nm plus trips in Jeannius, recently survived running before 52 knot winds (may have been higher but that's what it said when I had a moment to look at the instruments) without anything breaking. Overall I'm very happy with my boat!

The 37 came in a couple of configuration. My 37 has two heads. One on the starboard fore hull. It includes a seperate shower. The other is in the master cabin. It has a combination shower/toilet in this hull, the sink is outside the shower/head area.

No. Bridgedeck is as high as they come. Also when I drilled a hole in it a couple of weeks ago to improve drainage from the salon aircon unit I discovered that the floor is over an inch thick there. Two skins with foam in between. It'll take a lot of punishment if required.
