Re: Privilege Cats

David,
Thank you so very much! Your suggestions were really helpful... Will be ordering tomorrow!

Any chance you have a suggestion for replacing the rub rails around the sugar scoops? Have found a few options but would prefer something more like the original.
Thanks again so much...

Re: Privilege Cats

I don't have a boat I can cruise on any longer but I still look around here because of my multiple subscriptions while researching for years and know it is such a great place to visit.
The BEST!

Re: Privilege Cats

Some of my rub rail was damaged and I couldn't find the same rub rail so I decided to replace the entire thing with this;

TACO MARINE RIGID VINYL RUB RAIL (1 7/8 IN.) V21-3670-WHA-20D V21-3670BKA-20D

You can buy it at many places including;
Taco Marine Rigid Vinyl Rub Rail (1 7/8 in.) V21-3670-WHA-20D V21-3670BKA-20D

It's much cheaper than the aluminium rail which has the additional cost of an insert, it fits the joint in the Privilege hull perfectly and as long as you follow the manufacturers instructions and heat it before application, it will take the curvature of the sugar scoops without deforming.

Ask me another!

Engine hours, Genny hours, sail ages and condition, updates, photos and a listing anywhere?

Re: Privilege Cats

Hi Lee, the engines have less than 300 Hours (installed 2 yeas ago), the gensets have approximately 1000 hours each, this boat has not been listed but my father is willing to sell it (he is almost 89). If you are interested I can send you some
Pictures. It is in Lima, Peru, approximately 7 days from the west end of the Panama Canal.
Regards

Re: Privilege Cats

Thanks, but we're still debating which direction to go in terms of make, style and age for our "retirement" boat. We weren't looking for anything older than, say, 2010, although the Privelege boats hold up well.

Thanks for the response!

I swapped to VP D2-55 with saildrives from the MD2030. A huge improvement, cruise at 8.5 and max 9.5 kts
