I'm reading all these threads about people who get boarded and robbed or worse. And there seems to be two camps: people who are so pacifist that they will give up anything to live and those who are willing to go down fighting.
The other trend is there are those who enjoy destinations and other folks who consider the same places dangerous.
So my thoughts continually revolve around the other issues here: Is there a pattern for those who get robbed? Is there a lifestyle or behavior that targets them? If I were a pirate I would certainly look for Ugly Americans, flamboyant spenders, shiny yachts, and lots of gadgets.
I know it's an over-generalization, but if you look like someone worth robbing, maybe you are!
