Hi everyone from The Basque Country

Fair winds for every member! We are taking the last steps to make our dream come true: in the next year we will look for, try and buy the boat in which we will live and navigate as a family. We will appreciate your help and advice. Thank you very much!

Howdy and Welcome Aboard CF!

May your dreams of sailing come true, so you can bask in the sun on some tropical beach or upon your boat in some tropical paradise!

Welcome aboard Edu! I’m part Basque too! Or at least my uncle always said we were. Someday I’ll get there!

Thank you, Don! Please, do it! Visit your ancestor's homeland! And, while in here, let me know and we could go sailing!

Hi Edu.

Very good that you posted and use a photo of yourself for avatar and profile photo. And in my professional (photographer) opinion, that is a nice photo.

Enjoy the forum and don't hesitate to ask the forum Members questions, as that is what keeps this place humming with activity.

Since you are in Bilbao, take a look at the Cruisers Wiki too,
http://www.cruiserswiki.org/wiki/Mediterranean

as it contains regional and local info. You may want to add to the entries for your local cruising areas, or start a new thread in one of the forums that is focused on your area.

Here is a Destinations forum for the Med.

Re: Hi everyone from The Basque Country

Thanks again, Steadman! Very useful links, also! The Med should be our first destination. As we live in the Bay of Biscay, plenty of rough seas, gales and stormy seas, the search of the sunny and warm places around the mediterranean shores is an attainable first adventure. First we must be ready to sail 800 miles SW to find and cross the Gibraltar strait

Fair winds!

PD: I DO love photography!
