For our US ludite friends that's 15 feet.

Actually its 14ft 9 11/64inches but I wouldn't want to get close enough to measure down to the 64th in. 15ft is close enough.

Well, some of us can.

4.5 meters times 39.37 inches/meter is 177.16 inches. Divide that by 12 inches/foot, and you get 14.76 feet, which is a LOT closer to 15 feet than 13 feet. But it's definitely NOT 13 feet.

I would chuckle, but it's actually scary. Even without the precise numbers, you can estimate pretty accurately. Every four meters is about 13 inches longer than a yard. That's more than a foot longer! Then, because a meter is bigger than a yard, the extra half a meter is longer than half a yard. So 4 yards, plus the "extra" foot, plus more than 1.5 feet. Has to be bigger than 14.5 feet.

Re: Croc Infestation

Only a change in fashion can save us. The Walt Disney School of anminal behavior is incapable of doing so.

From a remnant population East of Flamingo the American crocodile has now reached Tampa and beyond. Australia has a big head start but the USA will eventually be in the running for truly toothy monsters chowing down on cows.

That is a Gator, I don't know Crocs, but I do know Gators.
It's my understanding that Gators are cute and cuddly compared to a Croc. I have never had a Gator get aggressive with me, that is not my understanding of a Crocodile though.

Lol... I'll keep that in mind.
Just recuperating from an Achilles tendon operation in December and amazed how comfortable they are, without the need of heel support.
But certainly don't want any more bites out of my ankle..!
