26-02-2018 21:19senormechanicoI would have called you, but somehow lost your business card !
Is your email still svminaret "at" msn.com?
Are you still interested in a haulout with us?
I was thinking April and you said your kids had vacation during a week in the middle of the month.
Would May work better? I have heard nothing from you since November.
My offers still stand, basically bed and breakfast at my place in Lagoon Point on Whidbey Island.
I still have all the conversations in PM file if you want them.
If you are no longer interested, (I hope not) please let me know as I'll have to hire workers in Port Townsend.
To restate, I need help stripping off Interlux Micron Extra, painting on a barrier coat (recommended by you) and painting on two gallons of Trinidad SR with Irgarol.
Janet and I are not afraid to get dirty, but don't have any tools for sanding off the old paint.
We are both experienced at rolling on new paint.

18-01-2018 17:17SemusMcgilicotyWow.
Just wanted to say that your Nauticat posts were an inspiration mate.
I'm sure there is no further justice I can do for you considering the circumstances and the kudos you have received from all, except to add to the appreciation shown thus far.
Mate, sincerely, thankyou for your efforts.
I live in a city where the marine and GRP industry has ceased to exist and I am forced to carry out a hull restoration with little assistance other than from the epoxy sellers and the internet.
In the planning stages at this stage, purchasing silicon matting from china and self regulating heating wire, old miking machine vacuum pumps etc for my own hotvac treatment. Ultimately I hope I can post the info in the future to be of even a fraction of the benefit to what you provided.
I will not add to the chorus of requests for your assistance as I am sure you grow weary.
Min, thank you for your efforts.
Best of luck in the future...
Sincerely,

11-12-2017 09:40senormechanicoEthan,
The second week of April sounds fine to us. I called the yard a couple of weeks ago and they said April was wide open.
They said I'd have to send them some pics of my lifting harness before they'd pull the boat, so I'll get on that today.
If you call them to make an appointment, please mention that we'd like to be hauled near you for convenience if possible.
Thanks,
Steve and Janet Bondelid

We would like to firm up a time if possible.
Our home is open for you.

21-02-2017 04:24cwhofmanHi Minaret, Looks like you have been pinged over and over with questions!! I'm looking for second opinions regarding my refit and Hull Osmosis repair. I had to remove quite a bit of material 4 peels. I have a quote to grind and apply 3 layers of 1808 with Vinyl ester resin. instead of sealing with epoxy and fairing charge is about 27K
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

24-06-2016 08:43BikerScoutSmithThe Wanderbird looks like a great boat. Did you do the interior work yourself? The wood looks nice and pristine.

25-01-2016 05:46BoxertwinjeffHi Mate, Gilow tells me your the man for fibreglass questions, could you possibly
check out a photo of a Hull sample I posted and please reply there with your
opinion on the colour variation of the Solid Glass sample, would be much appreciated. My post is in Monohulls titled Motorsailor or Sailboat on the last page.
Kind regards

14-01-2016 15:47CherpHello Minaret. I gather, from a brief comment you made on a thread, that you think - of the production boats - a Catalina say ten years old may not be a bad thing, from a build perspective. I'm looking at one in Australia of that vintage. It's 39 ft. They are not nearly as common here as the European production boats. It is a fair bit dearer than an equivalent European boat. Is that justified by the build quality? Of course, I would rather have a Nauticat, but will not have enough money before I shuffle off.
