I imagine the rudder was lost while being beached. So much for aft hung rudders.

The thieves really did a number on that one. No telling what the hull integrity might be.

This one below the waterline is a lot like the Bermuda 40, for those of you interested in those.

BTW, we are trying to figure out why the thread keeps getting closed; we're working on it. It's not due to transgressions.

Very nice CCA inspired, traditional lines on that boat.
Apparently they also made it as a yawl.

I’d replace decks and motor on that at $11k. Damn. Put $50k into it and you’re still ahead.

$8k, but that thing needs at least $55k USD in hardcore retrofit if the purchaser already knows fiberglass repair & electrical and made it their full time 9-5 for a few years. The video in the ad goes over everything it requires, how they didn't consider it profitable enough to refit themselves and then flip.

If there is no water intrusion into the decks, its mostly labor. I did a KP44 teak deck removal and fastener hole fill in 3 weeks and that included new LPU non-skid. Materials were around $400. The Universal M25 is not a good engine for that boat anyways. A Yanmar 4Jh would be my 1st choice or a Beta 38. The 4JH is easier to find used. I bought a used one in 2006 for $3K. I've seen ones recently go for around $4.4-$7K, depending.

I have built two steel boats of my own and restored/restoring 6, total F/G boats. So this isn't my first rodeo. That said, I believe it would be $55k if you turned it over to a yard. That would be a pretty silly thing to do as most of the work is sweat equity. One restore I did to an Olympian 34 required the removal of a dead coyote and chain saw the interior out leaving just the bulkheads. I was finished in 2 years working 20 hrs. a week on it while working full time and raising a family. And that included an LPU paint job. It can be done but requires a lot of dedication.
