Turkey DIY/Live aboard boatyards

Are there any boatyards in Turkey that allow DIY work, and/or allow living aboard? First hand knowledge and details would be appreciated.

Hi,

Most marinas will not allow you neither to work on yr boat nor to sleep on board if the boat is on land. Obviously, small works like polishing, gel coat repairs, etc are no problem. Marinas's safetly rules are very strict but you can get away in some marinas off the track, ie Bozburun, etc. Otherwise, even if you call an expert from outside the marina, they will have to pay an entry fee (20-30 per day per person) and if the works are exceeding 3-5.000 €, they may request 16-20 % commission on work the value..This is not the case if the company you are working with has an office or workshop in thi,s marina.

Thanks for for your information. Is there a list of boatyards (for winter storage) in Turkey anywhere that I can consult and use to make contact?
