Yep I heard about the wind issue, but we are in no rush and have several months time to sail the northern coast, which, as someone higher up mentioned already seems a great area to explore.

Still I am wondering if it's not a good compromise to sail to Gijon and explore Bilbao and Santander by train from there before heading west.
That way we may not need tooooo many favorable weather windows with regards to wind direction to go west.
