Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - ends Oct 12

My "bird in sky" will be 116 Ah Firefly
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/wp-con...ure-SPI-LV.pdf
Now I have on my Sunwind 20 two common use "deep discharge" liquid H2SO4 batteries, 105Ah (2012) + 75Ah (2016), but its health one year ago was bad. This season was lost (corona ban) - I cant touch my boat... (
Probably, to next summer old batteries will fully died.
Obviously, LIFePO technology is very attractive- but Oceanplanetenergy Li batteries are too big for me, I have not enough electricity. And, hmm... this case need also new charger, new solar controller...

More solar would be a plus for keeping my energy needs met.

Need a more modern monitering system. Have not compared the units yet so not sure of which one would be best for me.

I am redoing the power on my yacht and will be using the G31 12v firefly's, this would really help towards buying them.

Currently we have 4 70w panels installed on our Leopard 44. Thinking that a couple more might just get us to the sweet spot.

A smart charger for my solar charging system would be great. Using the low end chargers is getting me nowhere.

Looking at outfitting our 'new' yacht with solar panels over the winter, just in time for sailing off over the horizon in the spring! Some SR+ panels would fit the bill perfectly!

Solar to keep everything topped off

We have a great LiFePO battery w/inverter system to supply all our AC house loads (wte of the air conditioners) while underway. The engines keep the batteries topped off, but if we're on the hook for a few days I need to kick on the generator for a while to recharge them. The addition of a solar charging option would make perfect sense for us.

Looks like the Solbian SR+ series would be our best fit.

Good luck to all.

Time to upgrade our old worn out Trojan Lead acid batteries. These LiFePo4's would be awesome!

One battery to replace 4 Trojans, no more watering and the weight savings is over 50%. Can’t wait to hook it up!

I’m interested in the wakespeed 500 regulator. When used with the shunt, it will accurately adjust charging based on current the battery is accepting, instead of time-based....
I also want to install a victron multiplus 3000 to replace my old xantrex inverter
