    Hi. I think that you can find a copy of the Santa Cruz installation and operation manual easily on the web, and that would probably have the specs you're after. I took a deposit on this one yesterday, so it may be gone in another week.

    No, you don't need to see the batteries. Just pump the bulb, as the cells fill up, the bulb gets a little more resistance, when all cells are full, the bulb won't pump any more. A kit for 4 6v batteries is $94 plus shipping cost, 6 6v batteries kit is $136 plus ship.
