S63 Fingerprint issues

When I try to create a system identifier "fingerprint" I get an error.
Looking in the log file I see this :

This happens on both 5.8 and 5.9 running on Win 11.
How can I fix this?

I don't have a Windows machine at hand, but would probably bet a few beers on the space in your user name...

Created a W11 VM and the space in username does not seem to be the actual problem, the fingerprint was created fine.
What strikes the attention in your log id the wrong file name of the OCPNsenc.exe tool, is the space before nc.exe really there or is it a product of you copy-pasting it?

Does C:\Users\Alan Leslie\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins\s63_pi\OCPNse nc.exe exist?
Can you run "C:\Users\Alan Leslie\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins\s63_pi\OCPNse nc.exe" -a from the cmd.exe console?

In the log it is as it should be...no space....

If you open the cmd.exe console and run this command manually:

"C:\Users\Alan Leslie\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins\s63_pi\OCPNsenc.exe" -a

What happens?

Good, and with the -a parameter, does it output the version number?

Can you check if running

echo %errorlevel%

right after the "C:\Users\Alan Leslie\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins\s63_pi\OCPNse nc.exe" -a returns a zero?
It certainly should even on your system.

But looking at the plugin code, it seems it does not, because that is the only chance https://github.com/bdbcat/s63_pi/blo....cpp#L165-L167 gets to the error code branch...
