Take a look at oesenc_pi

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Dave...

Looked at S63_pi and oeSENC_pi and French translations do not seem to be coming through on my machine.

On OpenCPN 5.0 are the LC_MESSAGES held as files or compiled into the dll?

Actually, they are simply icons, representing "unmanaged, legacy" plugins. Clicking them does nothing.
The "Enable" checkbox, however, does what is expected.

Maybe a new icon for "legacy" plugin status is called for....
Ideas, anyone?

Or maybe I am missing your point entirely....

Does this help?
Thanks

I know they do nothing but waste space. And therefore another line is needed to have the checkable box. I suggest to put it in the same line?
Test this dialog on e.g 800x600 resolution to see my point.

Not seeing any particular problem on 800 x 600 display. Pix attached.
Certainly nothing like:

"but on smaller screens with less resolution its nearly impossible to handle this dialog layout!"

But again, maybe I am missing the point.

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Sorry Dave, I may have been too ambiguous in my desire to help improving the GUI based on my difficulties to drive this dialog. You are correct - it is possible but I still think the available screen real estate is neither used efficiently nor is the layout appearing to be "harmonic". e.g.
- Label/Text "Choose remote dialog" is not in line and doesn't look well positioned.
- only max 2 plugins are fully visible at any time
- the order appears to be arbitrary. Pre 5.0 I believe the order could be changed and had also changed the order of the icons in the taskbar, I never understood this regression
- with the ever growing number of pi's either an alphabetic order or some dropdown selection would be helpful.
- when selecting a pi the selected field increases the size (Win10) which makes then the selection box of e.g. the lowest pi slip-off the screen

Please take my remarks not a critic to the greatness of OCPN but as a humble effort to provide user feedback.

Dashboard not in taskbar

The Dashboard when enabled and shown from the Plugins does not appear in the Taskbar and disappears when closed.

Don't worry, I do not take this as criticism. I just want to get to the true facts when I am unclear, the more to improve OCPN.

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

I am testing the betas of opencpn 5.2 on Raspi-OS 64 bit. I see that the plugin manager doesn't have any plugin available for download. I guess because nobody compiles plugins for arm64 yet.

Do you know if there are plans to build plugins for arm64 in the future or just for armhf like so far?

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Pinquino...

Have you tried the latest beta from here?:
https://cloudsmith.io/~david-registe...able/packages/

I have tried to let 'sar_pi' compile for each OS. You should find it in the master catalog.

If you can make a test I would be interested to know if it works for your OS. Translations will not work until I push the next release to the catalog.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

All...

After being told publicly by rPI development that there is no plan for Raspi-OS 64 bit, we de-prioritized the work for this platform.

Then suddenly it appears....sigh....So we add that platform into the mix. I note that Raspi-OS 64 bit is still officially in Beta.

Please understand that it will take a little while before all the managed plugins are available for this new platform.

Please stand by

P_Dub...

Have you tried installing a plugin for version OpenCPN 5.0 '.exe' in the latest beta? I installed an 'old' 'ocpn_draw' version and then updated from the master catalog. Installed on OpenCPN 5.0.0 and found no conflicts. No problem using a parallel version with this Windows pc.
