Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Moo....
1. Main toolbar show after auto-hide: It is important to hit the "hamburger" icon "on" the 'burger itself, not on the margin.
2. Large tide icons: I agree that they grew in size from O5.0. I will reduce the size just a bit. But since they do not have a separate sizer control, you may expect them to be a bit larger if you are magnifying the other chart objects. If objectionable, turn them off.
3. NMEA converter: Can you show a screenshot of the plugin manager showing multiple copies of that plugin?

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

tedcoats....
It seems that somehow the system is not finding/processing the "ocpn-plugins.xml" file.
Will you do a search for that file, and report where it is found?

Also, your screenshot is very "funny". The chart selector bar at the bottom is very small... Is this normal for your system? btw, What is your system?

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

I also have two versions of nmeaconv. It seems to be due to plugins being in more than one folder. I've never moved plug-ins, they are still where the installer put them at the time. W10 - I have one "plugins" folder in "programdata/opencpn" and another in "programfiles (86)/opencpn. The current files should be obvious, but they're not as there are recent files in both folders.

So, the simple question is where are current plugins filed and can I delete/uninstall any that are elsewhere?

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Moo/Hoolie...

There is a problem with naming of the newer "OCPN Nmea Converter".
As a temporary workaround, you may delete the prior unmanaged "legacy" plugin from your directory:

"Program Files(x86)/OpenCPN/plugins/nmeaconverter_pi.dll", or so...

Thanks

Some text is still unreadable with dark theme (Raspberry PI).
I'm attaching the screenshot.

Thanks,

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Found small issue. It seems on RPi 4 default boat speed does not accept decimals like 6.5. I can have boat speed 6 or 7 though

Is this rPI 3 or 4?
Raspbian 9, or 10?

Or something else entirely?

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.620 RC1 Test

Dave

I uninstalled nmea_converter but it's still in the list of plugins. There are associated files still in various folders in ProgramData/ocpn. Can I safely delete ALL of these files wherever they are?

Of course OCPN nmeaconverter co-exists as a separate entity with its own install files etc.

Thanks

Yea I uninstalled and then did a search for nmeaconverter* and deleted anything left and I still have two old version and one managed version showing up in my plugins list.

Me too, though there is something else.

When I start up O the managed nmeaconverter is not in the installed list but shows at the bottom as "available". After updating the master catalog it then shows correctly as an installed plugin. Repeatable effect.

Hoolie/Moo...

I would uninstall "OCPN NmeaConverter", and disregard it completely. It will soon disappear from the catalog.
