Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I'm still having the same problem as before. LogbookKonni compiles OK. Start OpenCPN, enable Logbook plugin, then click on Preferences and the whole thing crashes. I am using OpenCPN version 4.0.0. Which version are you using?

The latest version 1.2018 is now available from the OpenCPN download page
for Windows and OSX and on PPA for linux based versions.

I am running fully updated Raspian on my Raspberry. I have OpebCPN from Pi Chart. That version is I guess also 4.0.0. I did the tweaks described on the page. I don't have OpenGL active in OpenCPN settings. My position info is coming over NMEA 0183 via RS232 adapter. My display is over VNC.

Problem solved! The machine's locale MUST be set to en_US. Logbook will crash if it is en_GB.

My default locale is fi_FI, but I have also en_GB and en_US installed. OpenCPN complained in opencpn.log about missin en_US.

Andrew, FYI if you look at the weatherfax thread you will note that HUR450502 isolated problems due to locale not set to en_US

For Findit, git fetch, compile from your repos too. Some of Sean's other plugins have similar jsonval.cpp error. Pavel mentioned it was an easy fix, on the climatology thread...https://github.com/nohal/climatology_pi

Logbookkonni v 1.2018 linux in OPenCPN 4.0.0. Appears to install fine, click enable - fine, upon clicking preferences OpenCPN crashes.

I read through the weatherfax discussion concerning locale, and I checked locale is set to en_US.UTF-8 - still crashes.

Am I missing something? Thanks for any assistance.
