Stefano,

Which version of logbook were you running before version 1.2016??
The layouts you have look very old.
Could you also check the first line of one of your old logbooks with notepad.
It should contain something like "#1.2#" or "#1.1#"

You can download the newer versions of the layouts here:
https://github.com/ptulp/LogbookKonni-1.2/releases
File: LogbookKonni_Layouts.zip
In preferences of logbook you can install this file. That should resolve the View and Export problems.

Hi Peter,

my old logs start with #1.2#.

Installing the layouts through 'preferences' solved the problem.
I did not have to do that before.

Looking in the last two older logbooks, the 'engine No2' hours are still all on '0', so I must assume that they are lost.

What would you say is the best way to 'print' or 'export' (electronically, not on paper) the logbooks for future review?

Stefano,

The best way I guess would be exporting in "CSV" format so you can open it with your favorite spreadsheet.

I see that the current logbook is from 09 Jun 2014 until now.
Does that mean that all your info of all your trips is in there
What format are your old logbook_* files in?
Would it be possible to send me a PM with the current logbook and one of your old logbooks attached so I can look at it and see what went wrong with it.
When I look at the logbook_Minerva I see that the creation time is newer than the modified time which seems odd.

Regards,
Peter

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I would like to know if the logbook of the code can be changed so that the frame for the dashboard WIMDA compatible with the logbook?

And my other request (if possible it would make plugin easier to use )
put the bar activation/stop of the logbook at the top.
like this :

And the last thing would be to reverse the order of addition of rows in the table. Put the last item added up (not down as is currently the case).

Many thanks to the developer if He can do that for the next release

This will be fixed in the next release.

put the bar activation/stop of the logbook at the top.
like this :

I added a new checkbox in the preference page where you can select the position of the statusbar. Default is ticked box with status bar at the bottom.
This will also be in the next release.

This is harder to realize so i have to think about this.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Has this ever been compiled for Raspberry Pi 2?
Is there instructions how to compile and I could give a try?

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Erkki...
Just read https://github.com/delatbabel/Logboo...ster/README.md - there is no difference between building on ARM and any other platform running Linux.
When the next release is ready, I will also add it to the OpenCPN PPA so for RPi2 there will be no need to build from source at all.

I have tried on my RPi2. It compiles OK but causes OpenCPN to crash at run time. This is the only plugin that has given me trouble. I have compiled all the others from source without problem.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Andrew...
Could you post a backtrace of the crash from GDB or DDD, please? If you are not familiar with neither, have a look at Help the Developers Fixing Bugs! | Official OpenCPN Homepage

Thanks

Pavel
The crash occurs after the plugin is enabled, when clicking on preferences.
Here is the backtrace.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I have taken my OpenCPN from Pi Chart and some plugins from opencpnplugins - Browse Files at SourceForge.net.
It would be great to get both with apt-get.
It makes staying uptodate much easier.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi all,

I have just created a new release here -- https://github.com/delatbabel/LogbookKonni-1.2/releases

If someone can do the MacOS and Win builds I'll incorporate those when ready.

Setting up an Ubuntu repo for this stuff is one of the things on my TODO list. Unfortunately work gets in the way of playing with my own stuff from time to time.

Del,

Pavel has already setup a PPA repository for this. Send him a mail and he will add the logbook files to it.
I have build the Logbook for OSX and added it to the sourceforge download page.
You can add the windows when available and delete the old versions.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Thanks!
I dared to try compile and after some trying was successfull on Raspberry Pi 2.
What I did was:
git clone https://github.com/delatbabel/LogbookKonni-1.2 LogbookKonni_pi
sudo apt-get install cmake gettext libwxgtk2.8-dev
cd LogbookKonni_pi
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
cmake --build .
sudo cp /home/pi/LogbookKonni_pi/build/liblogbookkonni_pi.so /usr/local/lib/opencpn

I was able to enable the plugin, set preferences and load layouts.
I had success also creating first html export.
