I had tried that originally. It gives an error and says to check log file:

8:24:14 PM: EnumerateSerialPorts() Found Garmin USB Driver.
8:24:17 PM: ClosePD: 304, count_after_close = 0 for COM7
8:24:18 PM: and so CloseComPortPhysical
8:24:20 PM: Garmin GPS could not be initialized on port: COM7 Error Code is -1
LastGarminError is: Get_Time: Unknown date/time protocol
8:24:20 PM: OpenPD: 304, new_count = 1 for COM7
8:24:24 PM: Initializing Chart D:\Charts\CM93_May2009_Zone_8\CM93\00300000\A\0030 0000.A
8:24:24 PM: CM93Composite Chart Root is D:\Charts\CM93_May2009_Zone_8\CM93\

When I uncheck the box, it uploads successfully, but at the Garmin it shows up only as individual waypoints, not a route.
