As an aside, when I was in Florida, our clinic was in a popular beachside/boating community. The MAJORITY of people we treated for S.T.D.s were over 65 and married..... go figure...!

I agree with your premise, but you have to be careful with how you look at "numbers".
It may be that your patient base was over 65 and married, so it stands to reason the majority of your STD case would be over 65 and married.

I bet the majority were WASP's too, but that doesn't mean the majority of STD cases are WASP's for example.

We had a broad demographic spread of ages, notable for this singular observation. Is it a local phenomenon? Who knows... I never checked beyond my own region for data analysis.......

Such naughty boys and girls....... you think age would have taught them to be careful.

No argument with your first point Weavis, but on the second point .... I do believe 95% wasn't high in the demographic I was in. There were certainly many men I couldn't offer any opinion on either way & therefore haven't considered so maybe all those faithful guys were in that group. And as I said earlier--no data on women. Perhaps I shouldn't have been hanging out with pilots & doctors?

That was another time, and another age group, but I don't think human nature has changed. I'll stand by my jaundiced view.

The "marriage part" is incidental.

Depends on the couple. Going "all in" can strengthen a couple, but doesn't come with a guarantee. The commitment and beliefs of the individuals are what matters.

Your math doesn't really work, but I'm guessing it's related to your sample size/type. Plenty of women cheat, but it's not something that people tend to advertise.
