not much alternative to Pantaenius these days, but what does topsail say ?

a Severe Weather Warning has been issued for the area of the subject voyage or part thereof.
2. loss or damage caused when the vessel is unattended at anchor:
2.1. when a Severe Weather Warning has been issued for the anchorage area; and
2.2. when the Vessel drags or breaks free from its anchor by reason of such storm or severe weather.

None of this in my Pantaenius policy.

Sustained winds of 30 knots would be a problem for me -- that's sailing weather where I sail, if it's from a reasonable direction. I go out in such weather all the time.

I get the impression that the name Pantaenius covers a group of businesses or perhaps franchises and each is able to discuss separately with the underwriters what they can offer. Certainly not in mine either, which is probably the same underwriter as yours.

No mention of Lithiums either, but I my pen is loaded with the safety catch on ready with "installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions" etc.

When on a passage, gale force winds are sometimes difficult to avoid. You simply have to shorten sail and live with what you get

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

That was from Pantaenius Australia. I've never seen anything like that from Pantaenius UK.
