No problem with trim on a 393.

I would not worry about a second anchor at the bow if you have a
modern anchor and all chain. In my old
boat (CS36M) my Bruce (primary) would not dig in when
anchoring in turtle
grass in the
Bahamas. In those instances I would use my
CQR (secondary). Also the CS sailed like crazy at anchor when the
wind piped up so I would put two hooks out and that would really cut down on the sailing. This is not a problem with the 393 that sits quite well at anchor.
Not to resurrect anchor wars but if you go cruising investing in a new generation anchor such as a Manson Supreme and all chain is the way to go.
