By the way, is this a great photo competition, or a photo of a great anchorage comptetition?

There be a difference.

This place is 50 miles from our marina (so an easy day's sail, if wind and tide are reasonable).

But it's inside a military firing range, so you can only enter on weekends.

Rocky bottom -- took six attempts to finally get the pick to set. Probably for the same reason -- we were completely alone.

Barra de Navidad, Mexico

Barra is a great town. Around the corner from the anchorage is some drying ground that the birds love. It is a bird sanctuary but unfortuanely it's existance is threatened.

These two happen to be Fowl Cay in Abaco & The St. Johns River, Jacksonville, Florida; they they could be anywhere where there are not too many other cruisers.

Take care and joy, Aythya crew
