Started a bit late, but still on the falling tide as I headed out the South Arm of the Fraser River, gps clocking me at 10 over the ground! Once off Roberts bank a nice gentle 7-10 easterly gave me an easy reach up past Point Grey, and not bad beating into English Bay. Had to motor into Vancouver Harbour, but was under the First Narrows bridge (Lion's Gate) 5 hours after getting going, so had a *very* favourable current with the flood doing about 3.5, and more like 4 at the Second Narrows.
Easy sailing, bright sunshine, cool breezes, favourable current out and in. It doesn't get much better than that.

Well, with currents like these pretty much every tide, you can see why a lot of having a good day sailing is in the timing of things up here. Still, yesterday is one to write on and on about in the log... I was re-reading Vito Dumas, but there's still about a dozen notes in the deck log.
Hey Pblais, updated avatar! nice!
