Spectra Watermaker Filter Cleaning?

I believe that most all membranes will tolerate as a maximum less than 1/10 of 1 part per million of chlorine, which is almost none at all. Residential drinking water is ten times that at 1 PPM I believe.
If you do what you say, rinse them very well and let them sit for days, that should off gas the chlorine. Second page of this link

Really should avoid the bleach, if they stink, toss them. UV, sunlight will kill most anything.

Re: Spectra Watermaker Filter Cleaning?

I had a lot of problems with the pressure sensors Spectra uses. Now using analog gauges, much more reliable. One on the upstream side of the filters, one on the downstream. Change before a 10 psi drop.

Actually I've always liked that idea. Far more accurate as well.

How would one plumb that in?

Wouldn't a bag have smaller surface area than a pleated filter of the same volume and thus clog faster?
