Humans produce a lot more waste. A lot more.

In the advanced countries, we don't compost human waste because of the danger of transferring disease.

Re: Boat toilets

Personally, I have a hard time understanding all the fuss about marine heads. Sure, it would be nice to have a Marine Elegance with the choice of fresh or raw water flush, but it's $1K and uses electrical power and fresh water. Besides, it won't fit in my boat.

We have the cheapest Jabsco manual toilet. Poop & pump. That's it, on to other things. I replaced the original when we bought the boat in 2008 and I replaced the pump in 2016 because it was getting hard to pump. The replacement pump is only a few dollars more than the rebuild kit and far simpler to install.

My wife and I are not too proud to pump a toilet and and any guests who can't don't belong on a boat.

That would be fine except for covering it up with your paws.

Ron, remember most of these guys are sailors, not power boaters, the paw thing may not be an issue for them.

I'm joking guys!!! Please don't kill me! I really like sailors.
