Re: What Are These Horseshoe Looking Things?
I concur :) Saw these on older boats as a kid for the Vang on boats with boom roller reefing. |

Re: Goiot Hatch Compatability
I used to work for a hatch manufacturer... the simple answer is no. As Suijin says, go back to Goiot - that’s the most likely place to get a drop in replacement. Also check forums for your boat... |

Re: Propellers
I went from a fixed 3 blade to a Flex-Fold 2 blade folding for my old boat with a Yanni 3gm30 after great feedback from another cruiser friend and reading reviews. The light air performance... |

Re: small repair with the core
I would not use exterior grade plywood. I’ve re-cored decks and hull areas It’s a messy tough job that you don’t want to do again - It’s not worth saving a few bucks. I’ve used the glass backed... |

Re: Older style furler requires climbing mast to lower sails?
Guyrj33 - Exactly - you can add a halyard swivel and then it can work like a regular furling system. |

Re: Older style furler requires climbing mast to lower sails?
I used to work for a furler manufacturer. I thought I’d seen them all, but this one is new to me. The best cheap fix (other than adding the trip line) would be to get a used halyard swivel from... |

Re: Installing and rigging an outhual
I’d say, do a simple test. If you have some bullet blocks laying around, rig up a 2:1 and a 4:1 to see what works best. Keep in mind that the more purchase, the longer the tail that you’ll need to... |

Re: 2019 edition: Are you using a mast mounted WiFi or cellular extender?
Also had a WIFi booster, but had technical niggles and marina WiFi in my area is terrible. I went to a Verizon Jetpack at the beginning of 2018 and added a cheaper omnidirectional cell antenna - 12... |

Re: Yanmar 3GM in E27?
I have a 3gm and it’s a great engine... also tempted to say run what you brung, but you might want to start a new thread asking if anyone local would be looking to swap their 2gm for your 3gm. There... |

Re: Finding the needle in a haystack - how?
Too true! I switched from racing to cruising 4 years ago and even though I had been sailing 30+ years and owned many boats, I felt like I was in a similar place getting my first true cruiser. I... |

Thanks Hellosailor and all the others. My Prosine does say it can re-charge from nearly flat (although I hear what you’re saying - they may be toast). I don’t know how long ago the batteries went... |

Re: Battery service near Ft Pierce FL
Thanks Skipmac - I was at the boat last week and charged them for a couple of days, they were in absorption mode taking 20-30 amps. Didn’t have a chance to check them after charging, so I’ll check... |
