Ben, Sorry to be totally out of the blue with this message, but we have been getting some information on the Prout 50 as well. If you go look at the boat and decide it's not for you would you mind sharing your thoughts or any information about it. We live a long way away and would like to gather more info. before flying to look at it. It's always good to have an independent opinion. It seems like there are some good and some not so good things about it and a somewhat unique boat design. Thanks, Scott

    Hello Unbusted67,

On 08 August you replied to usdiver61 regarding single-handed docking.

The moderating team took your reply under advisement as some felt that the message did not comply with our “be nice” rule, in that not only does it address usdiver disrespectfully, but it also implies that he is ignorant and even negligent.

Upon consideration we, the team of moderators, are agreed that your reply to usdiver is in breach of our "be nice" rule, and we feel that no member of the forum should be given such a reply, most specifically not for a straightforward and honest request for advice.

We note that you were cautioned about the use of language about a year and half ago, and we expect therefore that you will be more circumspect in that regard in the future. We take the “be nice” rule VERY seriously!

We will, of course, make a permanent record in our membership files of this PM.

    For the moderators,

Hey Unbusted67, I see you have a Cal35. What type and year? I have a C35Cruiser from 1974. New to me this year. Previous Owners were live-a-boards with lack of understanding about maintenance needs of a boat. So there is 'little cruising' much repair to accomplish. Well that is what the winter is for so it may be a long winter up here in the PacNW.

Ahoy Unbusted.... That interior job is a big one... If I can help in any way ... feel free to call me - (601) 709-6890. I will be back on the West Coast on the boat working March 5th. have some ideas for you on that interior job...

BTW... I started a Social Group for CAL OWNERS on Cruiser Forum... I thought I'd make it for all Cal owners - but of course I'd like to get all the Cal 35's too... We need to Stick Together!

    Fair Winds!

Hey I read a thread where you stated you were going to install some cork. Did you ever get around to doing it? If so whats it like? Did it work can you paint over it or glue a siding over it?
