New to this Forum: 'eryka' on Some Other Sail Forums

How did I miss this forum? Ah, blame it on the limited bandwidth we've had for the last 9 months. A lot of interesting posts here, I hope to be able to contribute & learn.

About me: Been living aboard a CSY 33 since 2002; former Washington bureaucrat; retired and started fulltime cruising last year. Just back in the Chesapeake after spending last winter in the Bahamas, and planning our next adventure.

Hello wNw,

If you are looking for the forum with the most information, best help with boating questions and lowest percentage of nonsense then here you are. I subscribed to several other boating forums but spend 95% of my time on this one.

Get really tired of the rants and raves and political extremists that seem to control some of the "other" forums. There are some other forums that do focus on serious cruising boating questions but seems to be a lot more information and broader membership base here.

Skip (no they don't pay me to say this) Mac

Thanx for the warm welcome! Looking forward to the discussions. Hmm, about rants? How about type of varnish? Anchoring? That can stir some strong emotions as much as any conversation about politics. <*wink*>

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Nope, the rants and raves are about which anchor, talking trash aout some boats and cats vs monohulls. Now there are some discussions you can sink your teeth into.
regards,
