If POF was not free, I would not spend any time there; if you have not tried Fitness Singles.com, I would give it a go. Not only those who indicate sailing as an interest, but those who do hiking, trekking , rockclimbing, etc. As one psoter said, hemet his lady because she carried her home on her back, that is a pretty good fit for those of us who sail on smalll boats!

Ha ha ha

I just love the google ad on this page. It is for mutualarrangements dot com

Helps you find a "sugar daddy" or a "sugar baby girl". I know they are targeted ads on google so I guess it is saying something about the people here

When I decided to try the internet dating thing, I tried one of the sugar daddy sites! It did not lead to any meaningful conversations, but it was a real revelation to read some of the profiles! Better than the best comedy site!

Tom,

I can imagine that it could be a good laugh. Unfortunately on that site you cannot read the profiles without registering so I will have to find something else to amuse myself this evening.

A good decision not to spend the money! You will just have to find some other way of having the internet provide entertainement!

Sorry to hear that Erica.

Im glad to say im convinced that Ive found the one for me, so I need to unsub.

On the subject of sugardaddie sites, they are nothing more than prostitution places. I was asked and offered money several times and guys told me most women made some reference to wating money or goods in return for fun.
2 girls i know of were in competition with eachother to see who could fleece and scam the most out of a guy. One had a horse and the other got a week long shopping trip to NY from UK and she had the further cheek to take a girlfriend at his expense for company.

All very sad and seedy.

Anjou, I have cast off your lines as they say (sniff sniff) you will be missed in our little group. You need to go in and delete your bio, for some reason it wouldn't let me. Can't wait to see some cruising pics, you sound so happy, what a wonderful adventure you are embarking on.
Fair winds,
Erika

Thanks Erica.
There wont be any cruising pix for a few months as Blue Merlin is hauled for housekeeping and maintenence, but im sure we can supply some pix of sunny Sardinia during winter. It looks the same as summer, .....arid and dusty with a few cactus and lots of rock. Not too many sady beaches but the water is clear and warm for now.

Awe... the other guys always get the girl...... Erika broke my heart... oh well...

Cruising / dating. A conundrum at best. Actually dating isn't the right word in this context, I should have said 'relationship'.

Most women's idea of 'roughing it' is to forgo the suite at the Marriott and opt for a regular room... with room service of course. We are all aware that their number one consideration in cruising is whether to book the cabin on Carnival Cruise Lines or NCL.

I know that women say they love a guy's boat...but I'm afraid it's only as long as they don't have to actually get on it.... Women in this thread are a delightful exception but apparently none live in any of the guys' corner of the world in this thread!

Just my opinion..
