It's all CF's Fault!

Being American and not naturally inclined to own up to my own sh!$e, I blame CF for my hangover. I had not known of Dark and Stormies until venturing onto this site. Now to take my hangover to my 8yo's birthday party... uhhg

Re: It's all CF's Fault!

If you want to try a repitition and you liked the D&S, step up to a really quality homemade Moscow Mule. My favorite and much better for warm weather than a D&S. That's Ginger Beer (I only use Cock and Bull or Buderims), ginger simple syrup ( I only use home made, grate ginger into simple syrup and cook), lots of fresh lime, good vodka, and plenty ice. Refreshing! I make mine really sharp. This drink is truly dangerous.

Re: It's all CF's Fault!

D&S eh? All it took me was sharing a bottle of wine followed by some Navan after dinner, a moonlit midnight cruise in the dinghy under the perigee moon and followed by the sun streaming in at 7:30. Not so much a hangover as a I don't want to be awake moment.

Still the sun is shining and there's a low tide out my window and the day awaits my foggy attention!

You are walking on sacred ground with us Bermudians when you get into our national drink
A true Dark 'n Stormy is made from Gosling's Black Seal rum and Barritt's Stone Ginger Beer. Anything else is a red-headed stepchild.
Enough sugar to send a diabetics meter off the scale.
Drink lots of water for that headache.
Lets see--its 2:14 local--time for one. Eh Hud3 ?

That argument has been known to lead to local discussions of a coup

Re: It's all CF's Fault!

With apologies to all Bermudians; when Gosling’s is unavailable, Captain Morgan’s (or any spiced rum) has been known to substitute.
When ginger beer is unavailable, beer may be substituted, creating a “Small Craft Advisory”.

In a pinch, any full strength beer and any rum, potions vary depending on the steadiness of the hand.
