What a coincidence. I thought your predictable call for EV's, high speed trains and the usual lot of pointless, idealistic and failed social schemes as the solution to what ails us was a rewind of MSNBC.

Guess how one views it depends on whether you prefer reality to rhetoric.

On the back of that the Chinese are cleaning up. But of course they will suffer teh same issues , a rising middle class that will back foreign goods ( already happening) , and wage inflation as workers are scare.

Of course its all a great experiment , China and its controlled economy and a pseudo-capitalism has never been tried before, So far good, but well see , as they say.

have to push off now, buying some stuff on aliexpress.com !! ( and free postage , how do they do it)
"Of course its all a great experiment" ...That experiment is over,40 yrs is long enough for them to practice communist ideology at home and world capitalist to the rest of the world, while always manipulating the value of its currency...I hope that cake was good, now that they "are cleaning up" lets let them compete on the world market with a level playing field,no funky monitery policys,no state-owned businesses with crazy subsidies that always make their products cheaper(in more ways than one)than the rest of the world...If anyone thinks that Henry Kissenger went to China in 71 and said "lets help make China a world power by unfair advantage to america and the rest of the world "and "in 2014 China will dominate the world economy and everyone will be happy for it " is a fool...

Re: Chinese Diesel Engines

This thread started out with a nice photo of a marine diesel engine.
It now appears to have nothing to do with anything marine, and as some posters have become abusive the thread is closed.
