Ok and one more I just discovered today. Definitely more of a dirty sea shanty type music but:
Salty Dick Uncensored Sailing Songs.

It is highly offensive and sexist so don't listen unless your a potty mouth womanizing sailor.

That one always made me laugh, Samberg is hilarious. I'm gonna rush out and get me a "nautical themed pashmina afghan" so I can be as cool as him. It's funny 'cause I know a few owners like that...

Maybe Irish music might be good to go sailing on. I just found this group and they have some pretty good tunes:

Flogging Molly is good, but what about the Real McKenzies? Scotch Canadian Celtic punk rock bagpipe is awesome.

Or the Dropkick Murphy's? For the Boston Irish punk rock thing.

Enough to make you want to drink whiskey and get in a bar brawl, innit?

Minaret, have a nice sound to get pumped up while out on the water. I think I like the Dropkick Murphy's a bit more. Good stuff

I've always enjoyed the rythmic and melodious tunes performed by UB40 while sailing.

Marin (Petula Clark)

I like the French version of this song:

Enfant du voyage
Ton lit c'est la mer
Ton toit les nuages
Eté comme hiver

Ta maison c'est l'océan
Tes amis sont les étoiles
Tu n'as qu'une fleur au cœur
Et c'est la rose des vents
Ton amour est un bateau
Qui te berce dans ses voiles
Mais n'oublie pas pour autant
Que l'on t'attend

Enfant du voyage
Ton cœur s'est offert
Au vent, aux nuages
Là-bas sur la mer

Mais tu sais que dans un port
Tremblant à chaque sirène
Une fille aux cheveux d'or
Perdue dans le vent du nord
Une fille aux cheveux d'or
Compte les jours et les semaines
Et te garde son amour
Pour ton retour

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

For leaving anchorage, it would be ACDC's Highway to Hell.

For just kickin back it would be Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

Got the tunes, now just need the boat. Guess I could sit on the end of the dock and play them as you guys leave.

Floyd is always good. Once when sailing the sound we were cranking Dark Side of the Moon on a new stereo system when a big pod of porpoise (porpii?) showed up and started playing in our bow wave. They followed us for hours with other boats all around coming in close to check them out and maybe steal them away. They stayed right with us until we finally shut off the Floyd, then they were instantly gone in a flash. It was clear they liked the tunes.

Hot chocolate-you sexy thing
Creedance-jeremiah was a bullfrog
Marley-jammin
Eddie Grant -walkin in the wrong line
