Music to Sail by . . .
Ok... it's been a really crappy week for me and I am dreaming of getting in my boat... but alas work and weather are against me.
So I propose the following. If you are reading this you must (or the sailing gods will smite thee) post the must have song that comes to mind to sail to in the perfect conditions.
There is one rule.. If someone has mentioned the song you want you must choose another.
I'll start.
----
Southern Cross - Crosby Stills and Nash

Well that choice was a little obvious, but mine beats even that in obviousness, Sailing by Christopher Cross.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .
Whenever I am sailing in 20+ knots of wind, I listen to
Carmina Burana (cheating I know, not a song, a whole composition, sue me )
That way, when I am at work, I play that and the day just flies by with happy thoughts .

Fantastic voyage, the one by Lakeside, not Coolio.
(It was really sailing by CC, but that was taken too quickly.)

When we left port or anchorage on a long passage during our circumnavigation 1990-1996, we always had Enyas Orinocco Flow on high volume. Still gives me goosebumps now as I remember those special times!

Re: Music to Sail by . . .
Hi:
"Down by the River" by Neil Young. I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but it might be especially appropriate to play if I have just thrown my wife overboard.
If I am in a less rowdy mood, some Miles Davis, maybe "Sketches of Spain".
