Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506

JanP
I had a smooth installation on the XP box i tried.
I think the trick was to disable all plugins, but the grib and the dashboard before updating.

It should also work if the .ini file is deleted and OpenCPN then is restarted.
There is also the option of removing the problem plugins from Program Files\OpenCPN\plugins.

My installation and general use has been great, it was only the Grib file feature that doesn't respond. I will remove it from the computer and re-install to see if the Grib file feature works.
Thanks

Unactivated all plugins in 423 before upgrading to 506 and then the install and start went ok. Could reactivate grib, dashboard but when Google Earth was activated, the program didn't start.

Unfortunately this is exactly what to expect for the moment. Read Nohals #9 and Daves posts #15 and #21 earlier in this thread.

The problem will be fixed with updated plugins. Check the plugin download page At this moment, only the WMM plugin is updated and ready for download.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506

I assume you folks already know this but I'll post it as a data point anyway:

Win 7, SP1
OpenCPN 2.4.506 with BSB4 plugin crashes on open.

Merci Pavel. Thank. Now all is OK for the WMM .

ChuckSK...

Trying to reproduce the cm93 debug break error.

Which edition of cm93 are you using? In quilt, or single chart mode?

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506

I installed build 506 on Vista and W7. Both installations seemed identical. I docked the toolbar on the right side of the screen and made sure "Enable Wheel-Zoom-to-Cursor" and "Preserve scale when switching charts" were enabled. Both installations scanned the chart directories, which took a couple of minutes. I don't know why they did that. Previous updates have not rebuilt the database or rescanned the chart directories.

The other oddity I encountered was when I restarted OpenCPN on the W7 machine the toolbar had moved to the left side of the screen. It still retained its vertical orientation, though.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506

If i dock the toolbar to the right with the vertical option and then right click the grab region to try and restore to horizontal the toolbar submarines to the right of the screen with only 2 icons visible. The grab region is hidden so cannot move the toolbar. I have to restart OpenCpn to regain control of the toolbar. XP SP3 on Samsung Netbook NC10

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506 CM93 and S 57

Hello

Trying 240-506 W XP SP3

Region : Floride in USA

Chart : CM93 ed 2002
S 57 of USA

Here two attach files. You can see that in trhe center of the screen the quilting is no good.

And as said by by another sailor, the soundings are out in S-57 (Correctly clicked in toolbox )

Best regards

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.4 Beta Build 506

gilletarom.....

Regarding your post.

I agree that there is a quilt problem.

But, I see soundings on S57 chart.
Please clarify your comment regarding soundings.

Thanks
