Problem with make as above. cp cannot copy a file to a non-existent directory. See related discussion here.

For some reason this also renders the "LANG=" trick useless, even after recompiling having mkdir'ed the directories manually.

Repeating my message today in the OpenCPN General thread seems appropriate:

I want to use this opportunity to wish all my fellow 'fans of OpenCPN' a Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year. I also want to thank Dave and his gang for a great product which have given enjoyment and pleasure to so many. Well done!!

Can't find the link from your 'dumboat' home page to download the latest update?
Also the latest OpenCpn version in SourceForge is dated October?

Hi Dave
First test beta 1222
every things seem to be OK

Just a small problem : The boat loose his position when leaving opencpn and reopening: Long is correctly memorized but lat become wrong
for example I move the boat to 35°0045 N 2.3066W
I activate auto follow to put the boat in the screen center
I exit opencpn :
VPLatLon=" 35.0045, -2.3066"
OwnShipLatLon=" 35.0045, -2.3066"
OK
I reopen opencpn
Without moving the boat , I move the map to approximately 51°N 16°W
then I exit opencpn :
VPLatLon=" 51.1571, -15.9304"
OwnShipLatLon=" 35.0045, -2.3066"
OK
I reopen opencpn then exit without moving any things
VPLatLon=" 51.1571, -15.9304"
OwnShipLatLon=" 51.1571, -2.3066"
The boat has now the wrong lat witch is equal to VPlat

Grib data: numerical display

Hi Dave,

thanks for including qscat data!

One thing though: when using the UP and DOWN arrow keys to move through a typical GFS grib forecast, the data in the numerical display (wind speed, direction, surface pressure...) are not updated. I think the data should be updated for the current mouse position.

Downloading newer version

Re Jean Pierre's question in thread # 282 does one have to delete/clear the older version before downloading the new. Also getting the black screen and have no clue where you boffins go to change decimals etc .Will wait for Dave's new-year upload but must I then get rid of 1.3.4 and all the charts I've downloaded or what?:conf used:
Greetings,
Clyde

Always download the beta versions/updates on top of the previous version to retain your configuration data.

The most current beta defaults correctly so you can use that.

Thanks IDPND for the reply. Have been doing that, but have the black screen bug so will wait for newer version with the fix which Dave promised for New Year .

Your other option is to change the setting using the windows registry editor as described here

Black Screen

Springbok....

Are you getting black screen with new 1222 version?

This is unexpected.
You may do this:

1. Uninstall opencpn completely.
2. Install Version 1.3.4
3. Install 1.3.5 Beta 1222 without un-installling 1.3.4

create a new config file, which should work OK.

Let me know how this works....

cm93 database

GPS-Marco....

I was hoping this cm93 load time was fixed.

Could you please describe your chart directory structure in detail? Maybe I missed some case....

Thanks
Dave

cm93 load performance

GPS-Marco...

Also, a copy of your logfile created by long load of cm93 database would be helpful.

Thanks
Dave
