My Dad always said "there's no point in having tools I don't know how to use...

... so he had carpenters tool (which he used well) and not much else. He calls me.

Thus, I would say full equipment manual (some are not on the net) should be high on the list.

He can work with paint brushes.

Cold Chisel's, Monkey wrench's small and large,Stuffing box material,if applicable,Basically touch every bolt and nut on the boat make sure you have something on board to loosen or tighten,a mounted vise is also helpful,clamps,assorted U Clamp's will sometimes hold a broken bolt.

Allen keys, center punch, impact wrench, PB Blaster, Boeshield, C-clamps, wire terminals & crimper, heatgun, heatshrink tubing, greasegun, surform rasp, hole-saws

take the tools that you have used on the boat for doing small repairs.......take the ones that you have custom made to fit into hard places

Take plenty. Sell off what you do not need. Better off with one tool too many than one to few.

Take some materials too - so that you have something to apply the tools to.
