I'm in process of buying a C&C 36 it's a 1979 what should I look for?

I'm getting the boot super cheap so a survey isn't in the near future

Yes i am most interested.Could you go down to your boat And look at the size and spec for me.My problem is my yacht is in New Jersey and i cant ship my raft from the UK as it contains hazard goods(co2 cylinder and flares!!)
