Where can I check it out? Google only serves me unconfirmed rumors.

Oh, I'm quite aware that contemporary (religious) myths have their roots in ancient myths. From Christ via Mythras to Horus. Nothing new. And those archetypal myths probably originated from a combination of a failure of the ancients to properly understand the world, colliding with our hard wired need to find explanations for everything we observe...
I'm however pretty sceptical of all metaphysics.

Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

On December 21st I will be anchored literally on top of Mayan city.
Fascinating, lots of Mayan pottery washed up on the beach every lime there is storm.
Seems they were not too good at predicting that disaster.

Literally? Nah. I think "every lime there is a storm" tells us what you'll be doing!

Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

Whoops

I got the ancient civilisations mixed up.
The calendar is Mayan the anchorage is Minoan.

The Minoans probably got wiped out because Santorini erupted so I guess there is still a lesson there.

Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

On the off chance that the Apocalypse does not happen in December - anyone know when the next one is scheduled?

Maybe an excuse for another thread "What's the best Apocalypse?" .

On a side note, it seems acceptable to laugh and mock other people's beliefs as long as they are either long dead. or are perceived as mental . and ironically the latter often by those whose own beliefs date from the Bronze Age - the lesson I guess is that the more **** that is actually written down the better, at least for longevity (and I use the word **** deliberately!).

Flan please.

My wife has a saying re her penchant for overspending, "why worry, sure we could all be dead by tomorrow". Maybe she knows something afterall.

Looked up the real poop on this Dec 21-23 stuff. I had forgotten most of it, as I think global issues are the trap, and we are the mouse. No time to worry about the stuff I can't see, when the stuff I see is so heinous.

This thread made me look into it, to refresh my memory. Why not?

Nothing ends in December. Think of it as a batton passed between runners in the Olympics. Teams win or loose, depending on the efforts of everyone. This is the passing of the batton, but the race is still on.

Once a month, give a little for imperfect calendars, we get a full moon. The exact time the moon is completely full is only a few minutes, moments really. It looks full for days, but in reality, it lasts perfectly, about 8 minutes or so. Same way for many celestuial events. Like eclipse' s, equanox's and so forth. The universe is like a heavens stretched clock works, with planets, suns, taking the place if gears and pins.

The Dec 21,22, and 23 dates are when, the coo-coo-clock strikes once every 2150 year's, on our yearly winters solstice. . An energy, transmission, vibration is said to line up with our planet for 8 minutes, as we pass through it, in space, somewhere centered in Mexico and a little south. This energy is said to transform man into the new age, some call it the age of Aquarius, ending the age of Pisces. Pure of heart people are going to hear the message as good news, while evil people will hear a slightly different ring tone.

Is it a still, small voice, or mountain busting trumpets? ?? I guess we will soon see.

There is some physical proof that trumpets might be the featured menu choice for that day. One more you tube for your viewing enjoyment:

( this video is taken from baseball games broadcast on tv, tv news broadcasts, people from cell phones, from all corners of the world. Creepy creepy creepy sounds.)
