look at the overhead shot of the atoll and you can see how the waves are bending (or appear to be bending) around the atoll. on the SE side...

I replaced the seals and acrylic on my 1988 moody 376.

It was an arduous job, but much much cheaper than a new hatch. Likley would have been easier to remove and reinstall a new hatch assembly, ...

Just shut the valve…. If you are worried about someone accidentally opening the valve, leave a short length of hose on the barb and hose clamp on a plug in the hose. Or Make your own plug and fill...
