To me there are three types of anchorers:

The Neophyte: Truly doesn't have a clue.....but is trying.

The Sophomore: The person who believes they know everything about anchoring, including how everyone else should anchor. They often worry about space and typically require far more than is necessary. They will spend inordinate amounts of time complaining and advising others how and where they should anchor.

The Old Salt: Has been anchored hundreds if not thousands of nights. Doesn't care what other people do, how they do it or how much room they leave. When issues arise, they deal with it, then go back to bed.

I've seen many an advertising of the modern pocket rockets.. Just a thought if the skippers of such wish a balance of mind with their future find.

The pocket rockets won't plough and punch through like the do of truck with a crew, so let's find a clew.
The leading edge clew, otherwise known as the foot. With practice.. Flowing the reverse side of the sail flows the low pressure system! Watch that clew, the foot! When that is on flutter, fuel is within the high pressure build on the front of propulsions film.
Sheet pull then release, short burst.. Useful when having to punch over and partially through a wave to surf +1.

That why's to flow the back of the sail. If unstable; at clew of foot; stronger than a stance half way up a spar that could snap a stick..

I remember watching a video of a past old man; Bruce Lee. I'd never met him, he'd past away 9 months prior my birth. I remember him saying, unable to quote, " It is (k)not brag because how will they (K)no(W) if I do (k)not tell.(?)."

So sailing.. How do we flow the back side in all directions of wind?
We can make a stink and go high point.
We can enjoy sailing.
We can dead run having done our best to respect the non fluid masters.
I have only visited Holyhead; Anglesea; North Wales once. Upon arrival a freak sudden storm flooded our entry path. We were in the high mountains, on the main road with a half fathom strong side current to drive through.
Last time I visited Ukraine, I watched a young girl walk into and out of my neighbours apartment. Half hour, twice shower. That night our buildings electricity transformer blew up. My preferred housing; dark. Days after leaving Kiev; Ukraine heavy rain flooded their subway.

If wanting to sail with favoured winds, respect earth.
If wanting a favoured body knot system, respect your neighbours and that should include many mummies and my assumption that they'd prefer to stay home.

I'd enjoy anchoring near many off you. Benefits such as left overs and gifts are often loved by us humans and those who swim around looking..

Caught a gypsies wrist as she stole 4900 currency from my pocket, Odessa; Ukraine.

I helmed a windward stay less Dragon during gale and she is a full sail or nothing vessel because if conditions were above her plough would bury beyond fore of cockpit and she'd sink.
Dragons were known as submarines, one Dragon had sank at marina entrance; Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron.
Having been employed to passage skippers and crews to and from their anchorages, other duties included towing breakdowns onto and off of anchorages. Duties also included taking a club boat; a lovely Dragon, out on joy rides whenever I wanted. This included using low power skiffs (outboard Legg) and their tight fishing anchorages as fun around the cans times. They didn't mind, we remained friendly, waving, short conversations, never catching their lines.
