Lightbulb Hello from bonnie Scotland!

I've been meaning to get round to setting up an account for a while so here goes! I don't own a boat myself but I have 6 seasons of sail training experience with Ocean Youth Trust and more recently, I have been working as a mate on the ex-Whitbread maxi yacht, Drum (to save you googling, yes that is Simon le Bon's old boat, and no "Rio" was not filmed onboard- the questions that come with the job). I recently passed my YM coastal and I'm very keen to build my experience as skipper and learn from the wealth of knowledge that I know these forums contain.
I've already posted in one forum about my upcoming summer trip to Greece, any advice thrown my way will be very much appreciated.

If you should come to the US, bring some of that great whiskey Scots make. A boat load should do.

Re: Hello from bonnie Scotland!

Welcome! I'd check the keel bolts on Drum at the beginning of each watch. Other than that you are placed to take advantage of the best sail training available on the planet in the British isles. Best of luck.
