Interesting. I'm not sure of her rights as a citizen.

But him as a foreigner who knows the police want him (as noted by his facebook posts stating as much)...they are entirely within reasonable rights to track him down as an illegal alien (as I'm sure he is in violation of his visa at this point).

At this point, his best bet is to see if he can get someone to smuggle him into Malaysia or Indonesia...though not sure if they will take kindly to that...The longer this stays in the news, the less kindly the Thai authorities are to let him off easy when they do catch up with him.

I wonder what his US tax bill is if the IRS catch up with him?

Rights? for a female? in Thailand? Not many.

The stories about tracing the mobile phones to Koh Tarutao (which had a history as a pirate base) are now in the English-language Thai media:

and

A little extra excitement, that in the end was proven not related to the "seastead" matter, was a US tourist behaving badly on Koh Phi Phi:

Re: Seasteading

The two seasteaders seem to have slipped out of Thailand. Convenient for the TH authorities, perhaps. No news here, move on. Ooh! Look there's a coronation of a King over there.

Who just before, made his long-term Mia Noi his fourth wife and official Queen of the realm.

In the past making her commander of the Royal body guard militia, and last year a full General.

The Thai authorities "cannot confirm" that the seasteaders are still in Thailand, but they've sent a summons to the last known address.

News report at: Phuket’s “seastead” couple face second summons

FWIW I came across the 10 minute history review of Sealandia by "The History Guy" channel on youtube (otherwise a fun channel).
