So it's bare on the inside! That's a palate for your artistic work.

You see a derelict. I see a "home on the water" and a formidable yacht named "Adventure".

There has got to be some service that'll tow your "boat" out beyond territorial limits and sink it. Like a "one way towing service".
Ha! You could put five years of love and sweat into that and it would still be uglier than sin.

And yet let him drop the price to 6000 and three people will want it tomorrow.

Another good starter boat. Possibly not the worst for sale picture but ... the thought of the work involved is giving me a rash.

Actually, this is a good example of the original intent of this thread which was not so much to show photos of horrible boats, but to show horrible PHOTOS of boats.

And in this case a single, fairly uninformative photo is all you get, hardly enough to commit your hard earned time or money to investigating further is it?

Nice to see a proper post on this thread.

Agreed! A photo of a horrible boat, that makes it clear that you are getting a horrible boat, is a GOOD photo! It lets you make a reasonable decision about whether or not you want to spend anymore time considering this boat.

The worst "for sale" pictures are the ones that tell you absolutely nothing useful, in terms of deciding whether or not to pursue purchasing the boat. Like the out-of-focus shot from 200 yards away, or the zoomed in closeup of the boat's name, or eight different pictures of exactly the same thing, or (maybe worst of all) the shots that are turned on their side or upside down. Seriously. If you don't know how to turn a photo right-side-up then get your six-year-old granddaughter to show you how!

I don't get it then, as Three Sisters post is a good pic of a horrible boat.

I like it either way.

Not sure if it caught fire, was under water, or both.

The picture is fine, but the whole point of the original thread, started, I think, by a professional boat broker, was to point out how lousy pictures fail to convey important info about the boat for sale. At least, that's how I read it.

And Three Sisters found a good example. One single picture that tells you practically nothing about the boat for sale.

Your compliments are appreciated GILow.

And yes, not much in the line of photographs to gather a sense of the condition and a plan to persue or not.

The single exterior photograph is not encouraging.

Actually might not be too difficult to strip it down at this point and make a nice artificial reef out of it.

Well, if you put in about 5 years and $150,000 you'll have a good $85,000 boat.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

I think worst photo and worst condition are just as entertaining.

It never pays to put money into an old junker of a boat. You will never get the same money out of it that you put into it, regardless of how much sweat equity you put into it. Ask anyone who has attempted it.

Yes, but ask the same person about the satisfaction and pride they derived from the process.

That is only applicable to the last one, usually they break the bank on two or three first, then most are scrapped.
Reminds me of the saying your crazy to own a boat, but truly insane to build one.
