If your bucket needs clorox its time for a new one unless it has a really dark spot your just trying to lighten up. :-)

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
Everything needs lightening up occasionally, even this forum, that's our job as bucketeers. If your bucket has a dark spot, best take it to a bucket psychiatrist. See what is making it an unhappy little chappy.
Coops.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
Fellow Bucketeers,
I have lashed a bit of drift wood to the handle of my bucket. Thanks for the laughs. Definitely one of the fun threads on the forum.
Its time to sling this bucket over my shoulder and move on.
Cheers

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
aaaaaaaaaaaaah but if the bucket has a hole in it ,it can always be used as a drogue..or cat food storage.....handle falls off, add a rope one and it is fine for longer....so hard to let go of....unless they fall from grasp and float off.......is difficult to watch a good bucket float away...it sinks deeper and deeper into the wet....
such a sad and helpless feeling......

Just when I thought I could not improve on the buckets I use on board. I found two items that do:

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
Should nations develop their own peculiar bucket styles?
The Aussie buckets I used to have were far more laid back and user-friendly than these precision engineered bureaubuckets they have over here in Teutonia (they play marching songs and line themselves up in neat ranks). They were economical and self-repairing, though they were quite homely looking. The ones I have now (couldn't import my old ones, even by claiming bucket asylum...not even for the dark coloured ones with the handles missing) are claimed to be remote controlled by datalink from Berlin, though when I run a network scan I always get to an anonymous holding tank smelling suspiciously like mussels and chips (somewhere in Belgium, for sure).

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
I actually now have three buckets aboard the Rose. Ol' Red of course my tried, tired and true bucket. But I have new shiny bling Buckets too. Little Red who has been adopted by DeKat as his water bowl (I kid you not) and Blue, my newest member to my Bucket collection. I've trained Blue well and he no longer complains about being tied up. He seems to enjoy bondage and a good dunking now and then.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?
Strange I only just run into this thread as buckets didn't sound too exciting. I am usually in the joke section reading sordid jokes, including my own. My first bucket was in Tijuana Mexico. Don't go there. Me and my mate went into this 'place' and were separated. Two gangster looking types came in to my room, pulled my wallet out and found only $10. "Is that all you got" yelled one of them. As he punched me in the stomach he blasted "Don't you go to the police". Put on my cowering humble looking and scared looking stance, they both burst out laughing. Ok kid, they said, you wanted a girl, you can have her. They left the room and this gorgeous looking mexican girl came in. Most of the bouncing around was from fright. Caught up with my mate later. He had some big bucks travellers checks on him and they tried the same thing with him. He was able to throw them out of the way and run for it. Don't go to Tijuana except for tachos.

Were in the BVI at the moment and I have seen some buckets id love to try out. Apparently some really nice ones get flown in once in a while,,,,These looked like the kind that take alot of maintenance, couldnt take abuse well, and have only have had the most luxurious soaps and most expensive mops in them.
