This is a bit of a multi-faceted question.

1. We've had moments in life when a cliche' hits us, "oh, I totally get that now"!
What live-a-board cliche' hit you as "yup - so true"?

....and/or.....

2. Live a board is a dream life style. What is your nugget of wisdom you would share with someone dreaming of this life style?

The journey IS the destination.

The gettin' there is as much or more phun than the being there!
(and at 7.0 kts, it a good thing too!)

When we were younger, we lived aboard for seven years in the Mediterranean, with two small children. The story is on my website at LIVEABOARDS
From this experience, I would simply add, “All of the above.”
