Hiya, it was Ensenada Cruiseport. The email is a bit fractured but says (sic) 'please be inform that by disposition of the Port Authority you MUSt have a Mexican courtesy flag raised at all times. Port Authorities will be doing inspections on this matter (date, time)
i don't know what the sanction is, but hey, I'm a guest in a foreign country so I smile and say Esta Bien when told something.
best, Lo

Hey Fred and Judy!!! Geoff and Omar in LA. Sold Un Mundo to manager of Vuda Marina after she got stuck there (Covid). Have recently acquired another of course. Sailing to Catalina this weekend. Saw your post re: the boom brake. Glad to be reminded of you both. Hope we get to see you again one day.

I thought I would let you know that this dreamer is now over the first hurdle. I just purchased a 1987 Freedom 28. I know our interactions on my query post were a little heated but no hard feelings.

Hi Fred,
There were many creative replies on this thread ranging from dolphins to ghosts, but I think you're onto something relative to the varying thermal expansion/contraction rates of aluminium and steel. I suspected the sound was from the standing rigging as mentioned and this seems like the most plausible answer. I note your recommendation not to loosen the shrouds. I just hope the amount of movement isn't enough to damage anything such as chainplates or shroud-to-mast connector fittings. Thanks again.
By the way, SV Wings is a beauty. What model is she?
Best regards,
Dan
