ritzy areas like Dana Point

$673.05 USD for a 35' slip and all the electricity I can suck without catching fire from a 30 amp post installed in 1967 for us ritzy yachtsmen. Oh and I get to pay a couple hundred a year property tax to the county I lease it from.

I own my 27 foot slips. I pay a under $1k a year combined for both slips to my slip owners association for maintenance, electricity, etc. This is on an inland lake in NC.

Lake Ontario south shore, marina's website is easily available to see for different boat length, but we're also seasonal. Approx $2000 for the year - between the slip in the summer with water and electricity, and winter storage on the hard with stand rental. If you had your own cradle or stands, saves money which adds up over time. Larger boats pay more, of course, so as was mentioned if you're looking for certain areas, it might be easier to just research the marinas local. Most will have pricing readily available.

Bay Saint Louis, MS city marina. 42 foot boat (charged as 45 feet), $256 a month, electricity and taxes included. (I think if you pay in advance for a whole year, they only charge you for eleven months, but I may be wrong on that.).

Dock new in 2009. I just pay the whole year.
In Seaford Va, Thomas Marina. In York County, which is a nice place. A lot of the larger slips are in use, but a few are open. But yes, not a resort marina and no hauling out. No fancy drinks club-housing, none of that type stuff. But they do have a very nice shower and bath in a house on the property. Been family owned since ww2. Lots of summer action from recreational small fishing boats, but after that the place is like extremely quiet. I can walk the docks and not see a single person the whole day.

If your a rich yachtie type who likes to show off, you wont like it, just stay away. Maybe you should then goto the Salt Ponds Marina to hobnob in the Hamptons. Some people are only into boats for the social life.

There are large sailboats on the end dock, and being tidal on Chisman Creek, it can get shallow, so its not deep water all the time.

A $100 per month smaller marina is about a football field away, but they dont have power at the slips, have to run extension cords.

$4,250 per year Canadian. Electricity extra,m $97 per quarter, use it or not, flat rate is researched comparative to the other option of metered power - it's a wash. Really. Winter: 1500W heater on almost always from Nov. 1 to April 1, summer not even connected, use small solar panel instead of yellow wire ONLY after house bank is fully charged.

Maple Bay Marina, Vancouver Island, southern Gulf Islands, across from Saltspring Island, Duncan, between Victoria and Nanaimo.

Pretty similar to old US rates on Alameda, Oakland, California.

It's a yearly flat rate moorage that saves me $1K per year --- really --- vs. monthly payments.

These threads are interesting. Even if they are location dependant. Because many of us also choose where to go with our boats depending on these kinds of costs. Or at least, it can factor in, together with where the place is. So it's always interesting to know places from all over the world and general pricing. I also understand some of them might be full fledged marinas, other just docks, others none of the above haha.

I have paid for a 40 foot monohull through my ownership (these have all been transient prices, not necessarily asked for permanent liveaboard since ive never been, but lived aboard for weeks):

450 usd per month near Norfolk, VA (Salt Ponds Marina)
600 usd per month in Charleston, SC (St Johns Marina)
800 usd per month in Fort Pierce, FL (Harbortown Marina)
600 usd per month in White Sound, Abaco Sea, Bahamas (can't remember the name of the marina)
400 usd per month in Fort Lauderdale, FL on a private dock in a canal
850 usd per month in Isla Mujeres, Mexico (El Milagro)
500 usd per month in Isla Mujeres, Mexico (Marina del Sol)
200 usd per month in Roatan, Honduras (Jonesville Point Marina)
230 usd per month on the hard in Rio Dulce Guatemala, RAM Marina

Most all marinas have websites listing their berth rates, but they might not be up to date.

Pet peeve. they often don't give the widths of the berths.

Yea, but those ritzy places don't have the Chowder Barge nearby...
California Yacht Marina is about the same price as your marina but I just looked and my old slip in Cabrillo Marina is now over $19 a foot per month.
