PLEASE POST YOUR MARINA COST

greeting! First post here,

could everyone post their marina, sizeboat, boat slip cost(with electric) on here? I just want to get an idea. Looking at getting a sailboat. Also if they are on a hook.

Such numbers taken out of context are meaningless. A marina in Newport would cost vastly more than one in jerkwater, Florida or some backwater canal leading to a small lake, etc..

If you want useable info, specify an area

How rude! I’ll have you know that those of us in jerk water FL are a proud group of environmentally friendly boaters. Why we only use slightly worn Maytag appliances for our mooring fields. 🤪

Yes, you need to narrow that down. Its a bit like asking people all over the world to post what their house costs...without location data its meaningless.

Re: PLEASE POST YOUR MARINA COST

Hello, Lee,

Welcome aboard CF.

You may have better luck with your question by doing an internet search on your local marinas and finding out what they are charging for various lengths of boats.

CF's an international forum, and costs do vary with locations.

Also, many responsible people will not discuss their expenses on the net.

Ann

Re: PLEASE POST YOUR MARINA COST

I could tell you what the costs are in Port Moresby, but i doubt that is relevant to you
But then again, since you don't say where in the world you are, I may be wrong.

$650 a month for a 10 meter berth in Hervey Bay Queensland. But then there is a $1000 for insurance and at least $2000 for maintenance as well.........If my wife is reading this the costs just went up 50% this month.
Cheers

Re: PLEASE POST YOUR MARINA COST

In Long Beach CA our rate for a 40’ slip including electricity and water but not live aboard fees just went up to $733 per month. This is in a beautifully built and maintained marina with marine services, grocers, entertainment etc readily available where the weather makes sailing pleasant year round.

$6 a foot per day at the District Yacht club in Washington DC as a transient...... of course it is less than a mile to the National Mall with a free shuttle. Only $3 a foot/day if you are under 70’.

Re: PLEASE POST YOUR MARINA COST

On the left coast, I now pay $6/ft per month. That includes elec. Some, ok most are higher. Fancy places in the sf bay area are $10/ft or more. Location matters.
