EXCELLENT Point not to be taken lightly even in what might be considered "civilized" countries.
Another not so minor detail = Contractual Language.
USA usually defaults in favor of the Buyer (consumer) BUT many other countries do not......they are either neutral or unfavorable.
For example - Contingencies (mentioned) are often the default in
USA but missing (You MUST insert / add) in other countries.
